MY LINKS
FOLLOW THESE LINKS TO MY MANY AND VARIED INTERESTS.
I am a sufferer of RSI (Repetitive Strain Injury) / OOS (Occupational Overuse Syndrome) / CTD (Cumulative Trauma Disorder) and have tried to put together a collection of web sites which may help other sufferers of this injury - no matter what they call it!
I also have a strong interest in the Cornish heritage here in Bendigo and all things Cornish in general. I have put together a collection of links to both Cornish and Genealogical sites to help others who are researching their ancestry both here and overseas.
CORNISH IN BENDIGO
I am also very proud of my Cornish heritage and dedicated to documenting the contributions made by the Cornish here in Bendigo. Visit some Australian Cornish connections and others worldwide. Bendigo was extremely fortunate to have had a very large percentage of their population in the 1800s made up of Cornish born folks or children of Cornish born parents, and our City has benefited greatly from their endeavours.
Information about the Cornish Association of Bendigo and District is as follows:
Cornish Association of Bendigo & District Inc.

Cornish In Bendigo
Meetings are held the first Wednesday of every month (except January) at 8.00 pm. The venue is the Eaglehawk Fire Station, Peg Leg Road, Eaglehawk. Membership of the association is $12 per person per year (July to June) or $17 per family membership. A newsletter is printed and if this is to be posted to members an additional $3 is charged to offset this cost. The association is primarily involved in activities which promote the heritage and culture of our Cornish forebears and is not set up to research family histories. We have two very capable genealogical societies in Bendigo who carry out research for interested family historians. They are the B.R.G.S. who can be contacted at PO Box 1049, Bendigo, Vic. 3552 and the A.I.G.S. at PO Box 145, Bendigo, Vic. 3552. With all correspondence requiring a reply please enclose a stamped, self-addressed envelope as the research officers operate on a voluntary basis. Generally, fees for research are $10.00 per hour plus costs of film hire, photocopies etc. There is a web link to the B.R.G.S. in the genealogy section.
